Congratulations on your big day coming up! Basing our assumption on you reading this article, we concluded your wedding might be just on the horizon. If it is not, that is completely fine too. All of us are guilty of looking, obsessing and lusting over cute wedding dresses and bridal wear in general despite being nowhere near a relationship let alone marriage. Bridal Wear in Sydney as of recently has really upped in terms of fashion as more people are being exposed to the fashion world thanks to globalization and the use of the internet. While most of you might have a set idea or vision in mind about the perfect white wedding dress, in this article we are going to deviate from tradition.
The tradition for the white wedding dress for brides started in a rather untraditional way. In 1840 Queen Victoria deviated from tradition i.e. brides wearing red for their wedding and adorned a white lace guy. Since then almost every single bride in Europe adhered to it and gone were the days where brides wore coloured dresses on their weddings. While the perfect white dress may have been the dress of your dreams since childhood, here are a few untraditional ideas and colour schemes that you can consider to incorporate in your dress to be a one of a kind and unique bride. White dresses are extremely been there done that and there is no harm in trying or considering a colourful wedding dress.
One of the safest colours to go with for any occasion is pink. Light, feminine and elegant, a light blush pink wedding dress will look exceedingly gorgeous. Mind you, when talking about colourful wedding dresses, we simply mean a normal white dress but only in a different colour or multiple colours. The cuts can vary too. As an example a light pink floor length wedding dress with a maybe one to two foot train. The neckline is a deep V-neck and a twisted knot in the middle right where the V of the neckline is the sharpest. There is also a thigh high slit on the right leg. To add some glam to the dress, you can have silver or golden embroidery on the neckline, sleeves, the slit on the thigh and the hem of the dress. This will add subtle glam without going overboard and will look very stylish.
The next colour to consider is light lilac net gown. This dress is shoulderless and is floor length. The net adds some flare to the skirt of the dress and the bodice is form fitted with a cinched waist. The bodice also has a veil of net deviating from the fitting of the bosom, making a veil of s sort. The dress is not completely lilac but has an ombre faded effect where it is darkest in the middle and fades out as the dress ends.
For someone who wants a regal and royal look, a dark red, maroon or purple gown should be the best option. All of these options when embroidered on with gold will look gaudy and celebratory. Styled with dark lipstick and old school finessed waves will complete the look. Although there is nothing wrong at all with going for white dresses as bridal wear in Sydney, there is nothing wrong with considering all the possibilities of colourful dresses, right?
